Within an octofoil, ‘al-Imām / lā ilāha illā Allāh / waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū / al-Mustaʿṣim billāh / amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. al-Mustaʿsim billah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); to right, left, and below, ‘li-llāh al-amr min / qabl wa min baʿd – wa yawmaʾidhin yafraḥu / al-muʾminūn – bi naṣr Allāh’ (‘To Allah belongs the command before and after, and on that day the believers will rejoice with the help of Allah’ in Arabic; Qurʾān 30: 4-5); the margin containing the mint and date formula has been chipped. Rev. Within an octofoil, ‘al-ḥamd lillāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh / ṣalla Allāh ʿalayh / wa sallam’ (‘Praise be to Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. May Allah bless him and grant him peace’ in Arabic); to right and left, ‘wa law kariha – al-mushrikūn’ (‘even though the unbelievers may dislike it’ in Arabic), which is the continuation of the marginal legend that has been chipped.
